Welcome to the first of several recaps of the product demonstrations and make n take events during our anniversary celebration. Lots of product information and fun was had by all. Our first recap is of a really "Sweet" Make n Take by Cathy's mom.
What better than some See's Chocolate and Butterscotch Lollipops! Of course, it was an official "papercrafting assignment" .... die cut flowers with a sweet treat in the center!
Using some double-sided patterned paper, this Heart Flower die from Cottage Cutz was used to die cut 2 flowers and a flower center. After attaching the round center accent piece onto the flower, a small hole gets punched in the center of the flowers. A Crop-a-dile was used - easy, peasy! Give the edges of the flower petals some extra dimension by adding chalks or fluid chalk inks, to the flowers. A stylus was used to curl the petals to give even more dimension and personality to the candy pop. Now for the fun - slip the decorated, die cut flowers up the "stem" of the chocolate pop and you have a "sweet treat" - quick and easy, not to mention delicious! How fun would it be to make a floral centerpiece out of these flower pops ?! Did we mention, we had to quality check the chocolate pops the night before by conducting a taste test? Somebody had to do it! Stay tuned for more recaps of our 16th Anniversary demos and make n takes! And thanks for being part of Simple Pleasures! |

OK, how cool is this - a machine that quickly and easily lets you create your own stamps and stencils! Think of all the possibilities - a family crest, a stamp or stencil to create custom invites or announcements ..... a stamp of your child or grandchild's hand-drawn picture that he or she can use to stamp their own stationery or thank-yous with. So many ideas are popping into my head right now ... the sky is the limit!
We've got several demonstrations planned for this weekend with the Teresa Collins Stamp Maker. And, the stamp maker will even be sale-priced during the Anniversary Sale Friday - Sunday, Feb 18 - 20! The demos will be held: Fri, Feb 18, 4 - 6pm Sat, Feb 19, 11am - 2pm Sun, Feb 20, 1 - 3pm We hope you'll stop in for one of the demos or just to say "Hi" as we celebrate our "Sweet 16" Anniversary!!
