Have you been using your Copic Markers practicing feathering, tip to tip, fading or any of the myriad of techniques that are possible with these alcohol-based tools? Do you have Magnolia, Stampavie, or Stamping Bella stamps and want to learn how to color these adorable images? (If you don’t have any of these, stop by the store and ask us about them!) P.S. - Mini Magnolia stamps have just arrived!! Now that you’re getting more comfortable using the Copics to feather and blend, would you like to learn more advanced techniques? Sign up for this class and explore hair & skin combinations, learn what color combos are recommended and how to make your own, learn how to take your coloring from simple to “Wow!” and make your projects works of art! You’ll have plenty of time in class to practice the techniques and receive feedback and tips from Caron and even work on a card! Stop by the store to sign up for this class and pick up the list of suggested colors. Hurry! The Copic classes fill up fast! Pssst! There is also an Elizabeth Craft Card Class in the afternoon...you know...those gorgeous, suede-feeling glitter & sticker cards we've been raving about?! |

Finally! Some signs of Spring…the changing of the clocks, warmer weather…and Linda’s Just Rite Cards for Spring class! "In the Spring a fuller crimson comes upon the robin's breast; In the Spring the wanton lapwing gets himself another crest; In the Spring a livelier iris changes on the burnish'd dove; In the Spring a young man's fancy lightly turns to thoughts of love."
-ALFRED TENNYSON, Locksley Hall
In this class you will create beautiful bird and flower themed cards using Just Rite’s 3 ¼” round stamper and coordinating border and center stamps. Just Rite’s stamping system allows precise alignment of the interchangeable parts assuring a just right project every time!
Simple Pleasures carries a wonderful selection of Just Rite stamps. Sentiments for every occasion, mix and match images and even coordinating Spellbinders dies to match!
Don't miss out on this class - call or stop by the store to reserve your space. We'd love to see you! |

If you've been by the store often enough, you will have heard Cathy say, "I have an idea!" This is usually followed by an “uh…huh…” because we know that when Cathy has an idea it is always a big one! Just ask Cathy's mom, who embraced the ideas and created these fun novelty goodlies. Need an idea for a fun treat? A quick teacher’s gift? Baby or wedding showers? A ‘pick me up’ for a friend? These are so quick to make and what a way to use up your stash of scraps of paper and ribbon. Not a stamper? That’s okay. Look a little closer… SRM Stickers put the finishing touches on these! You can make one for every occasion. These are “The Tubes.” They are about 1” in diameter and can hold bigger goodies like chocolate kisses, Jordan almonds…even those sour gummy worms! See those adorable butterflies? You can have those, too. Just ask for the Tonic Butterfly Punch. We’ll know what you’re talking about! You know we’re all about having choices at Simple Pleasures…so take at look at these…
These are affectionately known as “The Wands.” They are about 5/8” in diameter. My favorite is the ‘hello sunshine’ wand with those Lemonheads! Those SRM stickers have done it again! Just right sentiments and coordinating pictures make the Wands and Tubes fun and easy! Anyone recognize the ‘Thanks’ tag? It was cut out using the starter cartridge that comes with the Sizzix eclips. Snack mix, candy, chocolate…imagine the fillings…bath salts, spices, glitter…to go with any theme! Come by and see these in person at the store. The little details help to make the wands and tubes special. See if you can find the little buzzing bee on one of them! |

"If you go out in the woods today, you're sure of a big surprise!" (I'm humming along as I type this. Anyone else remember the "The Teddy Bears' Picnic" song?) Better yet, come to Lisa's class and learn basic techniques using textured mulberry paper to make "Tear Bears!" Too cute, right?! Can't you just see these fuzzy darlings on cards? Scrapbook pages? What about an adorable ensemble with a canvas for a girl's or boy's room...a great baby shower gift! Make bears in class and take home the patterns, so you can make a whole sleuth of them! (Yep! Sleuth is the term for a group of bears...learn something new at Simple Pleasures every day!) We'll have several colors of these specialty mulberry papers in stock, too, for creating more Tear Bears and for our other paper crafting creations! *Watch for announcements on future classes to customize "Tear Bear" clothes! Call or stop by the store soon to reserve your seat in this "Beary" fun class! |
