Hello! So glad that you had time to drop'll be glad you did, too!

If you have ever stopped by the store, you've seen Memory Box products...the Color of the Month card sets, gorgeous stamps, papers, cards, and envelopes...lots of paper crafting goodness!

Would you believe they have even more in store for you?

Welome the new Memory Box Die Collection!

They are 100% steel dies made in the USA, compatible with most die cutting systems. They are everything we expect from Memory Box - wonderful quality and gorgeous designs!

Here's a peek at a few of the border designs...

MBO Dies and Valise

and the new 6x6 paper pack - Valise! Valise is colorful vintage printed on kraft cardstock. Perfect for those spring and summer projects, cards and layouts!

Some of the dies even match existing and new stamps. Do you have the Orchid Branch stamp?

 MBO Dies Orchid Branch

Isn't Bubba Elephant so cute? I can just see him on baby announcements, zoo layouts, 'didn't forget' and 'remember' cards...I'm sure you've come up with a few ideas, too!

MBO Dies Scall Circle

Here's another matching stamp and die - the scallop circle! And do you see the Butterfly Delights die? I LOVE this little bevy of butterflies...with a strip of scrap paper and few turns of the handle, I can have 15 mini bits of delightfulness to adorn any project. (There is a butterfly border, but you'll need to stop by the store soon to see it!)

Are you still sitting here reading? I've got one last peek to show you...

 MBO Dies Buttons

Button dies! Border and individual, in 4 sizes. How clever is that?

Here's an idea:

Scrap paper + Dazzling Diamonds = Customized Button Embellishments!

(Don't forget to let us know if there is something you see here that you want so you will be at the top of the list if there is something that we are out of stock of).

We have a "Stamp of the Month" for 40% off each any every month!!

We sure do. Every month we have a new Great Impressions Stamps display board full of cards. Each of the cards uses the 40% off featured stamp and other fun stamps, too.
We have all of the other stamps used on the cards as well, just in case you want to create some of the cards at home yourself.

Shown here is the May board, featuring some of our furry friends (with personality, of course)!

And, there is a photograph available each month of the Stamp of the Month display board,
"just in case" you have forgotten some of the fun cards you wanted to make by the time you actually sit down to create.

(Hmmmm, hope I am not the only one who gets sidetracked from time to time)

So, stop in and check out our 40% stamp each month - you will like what you see and the 40% savings, too!

If you enjoy learning and creating in a fun, relaxed environment be sure to stop by Simple Pleasures and take a look at our "Wall of Wonder" full of samples of the upcoming classes. We offer project based classes that include cards, albums, scrapbook pages and even altered art and home decor. In project based classes you finish class with your cards, pages, album, etc.

There are also technique based classes where you learn how to get 'that look' and what to use 'that product' for. Technique classes are usually hands-on classes where you get to experiment with products, new ideas, share old ones and leave class with samples and directions, so that you can continue using those techniques learned in class.

Be sure to pick up a copy of our current schedule of classes or click on the "Class Schedule" link under the "Classes" heading to see a quick description of each of this month's classes!

Sign up for any of our classes is easy! Stop by the store or give us a call to reserve your space. Be sure to sign up early, as many of our classes fill up quickly.

"Cards for Her" - Featured Card Showcase

I look forward to the new Card Club Exchange board every month! It's so exciting to see the new batch of paper creations - the 'old' and 'new' designers, the seriously themed cards and the 'hmmm...didn't think of that!' cards. I know you're wondering what the "Cards for Her" featured card showcase is going to be...

You won't have to wait any longer!

Michele H.'s wonderful lantern card!

SPCC 411

Michele embossed the vellum lantern by scoring the lines and cut out the lantern using a die.

This picture doesn't do the card justice...this card is full of shimmer and shine - the ribbon, the lantern, those tiny pearls. You have got to stop by Simple Pleasures to see this one for yourself...and all the other cards, too!

Some of the techniques used this month were both dry and heat embossing, coloring with chalks and Copics, mists and colorwashes. Lots of die cutting, too!

For those of you planning ahead, here are are few of the upcoming themes:

June - "Making a Splash"

July - "Christmas in July"

Aug - "Thinking of You"

If you have never participated in any of our Card Club Exchanges, please stop by the store to pick up a copy of the guidelines. (The basic guidelines ensure that everyone gives and receives wonderful creations!)

Inspired? Want to join us for May's Card Club Exchange?

The May theme is "Cards for Him" (and we've already heard that some of our participants have been working on this one!) Need a little nudge to get you going? Well, obviously these cards should not be of the female persuasion, think first thoughts are metal, sports, fiber, nature, cars, motorcycles, understated colors and embellishments...think about the men in your life...what would they like to receive for Father's Day, birthdays or just because?

Your 10 (of the same design) cards are due no later than Saturday, May 21st. Don't be late...we close at 6:00pm. We look forward to seeing your cards!
