Simple Pleasures  

 for two days of
Mixed Media workshops
featuring DecoArt and Totally Tracy Stamps.
It will be a weekend full of techniques and texture  and fun!

She works closely with Deco Art, has been published in 
various Arts/Crafts publications. Tracy has designed a line of stamps

Tracy has a passion for teaching/sharing her love for painting
and encourages everyone to exercise their creative side.
For Tracy, Every day has creative moments and as a
full-time licensed artist, she enjoys creating pieces using all types of mediums.

Mixed Media Cards/Tag Workshop

  Are you a card maker, stamper, scrapbooker or mixed media fan?
Whichever it may be, this class is for YOU. Be prepared for a fun class
full of techniques you can incorporate on canvas, cards, art journals and more.
 Tracy will be using stencils,  Totally Tracy Stamps and Decoart Media Line. You will
walk away with several fun cards and a tag to send to your friends!
BRING: Craft mat, StazOn or Ranger Archival stamp pad, acrylic blocks,
wet & dry adhesives, trimmer, scissors,apron, your favorite paintbrushes,

"Dream" Wood Panel Workshop

 Tracy Weinzapfel, DecoArt Artist and Education Coordinator,
is here with a class of Mixed Media creativity. 
 This class is full of
techniques you can take use on canvas, art journals, tags, cards
  and MORE!
   You’ll leave class with a fun decor piece to show off all the techniques you learn in class.
  We will create a 3-dimensional 10x12 mixed media wood painting with
(4) 4x4 mini paintings on it.   

     Tracy’s style of teaching is fun & inspirational. She gives steps to inspire
you to get creative & will have some of her artwork on hand
to show different techniques & the products she used to create her

  We’re taking our creativity to the art journal with our special guest,
Tracy Weinzapfel, Education Coordinator for DecoArt, Inc
. Be ready
to open up your journal
 and create pages using fun and
colorful techniques with Tracy. This is hours of “Let it Go” art journaling
with Tracy for you to take home and incorporate in your art!  Tracy will
be using the
DecoArt Media Line
with you so it is your chance to see what these fun
new products will do. Tracy will also have her art journals there for inspiration and
to share in class.
We’ll work on pages to start your art journal…
be ready to have some fun & lose yourself in the creative world of mixed media
& art journaling.  It may have you re-thinking about things in your
everyday life that can be used in your art journal.
BRING: Your art journal, craft mat, StazOn or Ranger Archival ink pad, scissors,

 Cornelia's Candy Shoppe Luminary

 Cornelia's Candy Shoppe is full of sweet surprises! Cornelia's features a two-story
shop with a flat-railed roof over the door. A really cool round bay window
in the front adds to the sweetness of the festive trim and window boxes to
adorn as you'd like. Place Tea Lights inside and watch the magic come alive
when light appears thru all the windows adding a cozy warm glow to your

Please Note: If you want to add candy jars to the windows, this will need to be

Carol's Caddy

A cool, fun and functional caddy project that holds and catches everything
from remote controls, notes, office supplies and on and on ... the ideas are
limitless! This class will be using the Graphic 45 Safari Adventures collection.

 Bavarian Cuckoo Clock

 Jim's Bavarian Cuckoo Clock is reminiscent of the ones made by the
craftspeople in The Black Forest of Germany. It features a working clock
with pendulum and is modeled after the romantic chalet clocks. This Bavarian Cuckoo Clock
doesn’t actually cuckoo or chime but is a beautiful functional clock to adorn
your walls. The new Graphic 45 St Nicholas collection will be used for this project.
All chipboard AND papers will be cut to fit so no tracing and cutting are needed.
Feel free to bring flat nose pliers if you have.

 Basic Supplies to Bring for Classes 
Basic tool kit including craft knife,paper trimmer, scissor, paper piercer, craft mat,
wet & dry adhesives, 1 4 or 3/8in Score-Tape, Glossy Accents, FineLine Bottle applicator
white matte craft glue (Jim likes to use PPA, Perfect Paper Adhesive), favorite
adhesive for applying large sheets of patterned paper to chipboard, pencil, pen, sanding
block or emery board, ink blending tool, your choice of Black Soot, Walnut Stain or
darker Distress ink, ink applicator tool, bone folder and Score-Board. Feel free to bring
metallic rubs or quick-drying metallic paints if you'd like.

You’ve taken it out of the box and loaded Silhouette Studio software. You already know that you hook the Silhouette up to your computer (PC or Mac) just like a printer and using Silhouette Studio software you can cut custom lettering using fonts already installed on your computer. You also know that you can download and cut custom designs, too. 

But, do you know how to use the Silhouette, the Studio software and the Print and Cut feature?

Ever find a shape or design that’s almost what you wanted, but somehow it’s not quite right?

Did you know that Silhouette has a line of fabric inks and stencil material that you can cut?

Want to know how to use the Silhouette to design etched glass projects?

There are so many creative possibilities using your Silhouette!

At Simple Pleasures we offer classes to help you learn to make the most of your Silhouette. There are several classes coming up on this schedule that will help educate and walk you through techniques and projects.

Here are a few more hints: she’s a stamper and has been known to use Just Rite stamps and many others to make wonderful all occasion and holiday cards.

It’s Linda Knight! (You can read Linda’s Simple Pleasures bio under the “Our Instructors” link, under Classes.)

Linda has a classic style and usually has one or two oriental themed classes on the schedule, along with an iris folding class or two.

Linda’s upcoming class, Embossed Folder Fun is this Friday evening:

Embossed Folder Fun is a great class, if you would like to learn more about using embossing folders and Spellbinder dies to create cards. More than just using the folders for backgrounds, Linda will guide you as you create 4 cards. Don’t forget your adhesives and detail scissors!

Did you know that Iris Folding is a technique that originated in Holland? Yeah, me neither! What I do know is that Linda's Christmas Iris Folding class is Saturday, July 2 and begins at 10:00am.


A little bit of foil paper, a little bit of bling and glitz and you've got yourself some gorgeous creations!

Has your mojo taken an unexpected vacation? Need some creative play time and encouragement? Join Angi for this installment of her Distress Workshop Series: Girly Grunge, Friday, June 17 at 5:30pm.

In this techniques class, you will add to your ‘tech deck’ another set of fun ideas that you’ll be able to use over and over again. You’ll get to choose your own colors and style to finish off or add to your projects. Vintage, Victorian, Funky…make it your’s!

Big Shot, Sizzix dies and embossing folders, fabric, Grungepaper and lots of fun products to create your own customized embellishments.

Don’t forget – this is a “No White Zone” class! Bring an apron/cover-up and if you have them a craft mat and heat gun. You’ll play with Distress Inks, shimmer mists, and Crackle Accents to name a few… (Alcohol inks will be used also. If you don’t want stained fingers bring gloves!)

Red, white and blue! Those are the colors you will see while working with Holly in this vintage American projects class on Friday, June 3 at 5:30pm. You will craft several items to include an embellished box, 4 cards and embellished tags, too. Lots of layers, fiber and patriotic fun!

Don't forget to bring adhesives (wet, dry and foam) and sanding block; an Antique Linen Distress Ink pad is needed, too! If you don't have all of these items, just come to class a little early and we'll help you find them.
