 I'm Deb and I'm married to Ben and mom to 3 always hungry teenage boys and 1 girly-girl 8 year old. My kids keep me busy but I still make time to tell our stories through scrapbook pages. I love the process of playing with paper and scissors and putting together a page. Being a very tactile person, I love trying new techniques and sewing on my pages. I'll try just about anything! I'm thrilled to be a part of the Simple Pleasures design team again!

 My name is Gretchen Valle and I am excited beyond excited to be on my first design team! I work full-time as an engineer and am married to my best friend. I love coffee, travel, pilates, volleyball, baking, reality TV, and papercrafting of all kinds. I have been stamping and scrapbooking now for about six years and this hobby keeps me balanced and makes me so happy!

I live in Centennial with my husband, Joe, of 18 years, two cats, and multiple dogs! Fur is always part of my wardrobe. During the day I can be found teaching English to freshmen and seniors at Thomas Jefferson High School in Denver. It is there that I was introduced to scrapbooking from one of my students, Whitney.
The first scrapbook I completed was for a dog breeder friend who had her champion Tibbie pictures in a 3 ring binder – ick! I found Simple Pleasures because I could not get the level of classes I wanted from a chain store. It was love at first sight! Although I have taken art classes since a young age, I enjoy playing with paper the most. Cards are my favorite because there are soooo many options. I have also taught sewing classes and faux painting to adults and teenagers. I love to garden and bake. Anything that is creative and keeps my hands busy is MY therapy.

My name is Lynne Kramer. I am a Colorado native but moved to Colorado Springs in 2001. I have scrapbooked forever but I really got into it when my son was born in 1998. Now, I scrapbook on a daily basis and am lucky enough to have a whole room devoted to my passion. I do some kind of scrapbooking most everyday. For me scrapbooking is my creative release. I love to try new techniques. I also love the idea of getting my family's stories down somewhere permanent.  My husband, Jock, and three kids Remington (13), Peyton (8), and Colston (4) are my main subjects. They are good (most of the time) about my constant picture taking. I do scrapbooks for each of my kids and then I have books about Christmas, a month summary, vacations and places we go, extended family, and I do lots of mini albums and other projects too.
I am so excited to be on the design team here at Simple Pleasures. It is such a great store and I am excited for the opportunities! Lynne |
