Becky Francione

Becky FrancioneI have enjoyed many different crafts over the years -- all kinds of needlework, sewing, polymer clay, etc., etc.  I just love seeing something ordinary turned into something extraordinary!  When I saw my first rubber stamp catalog, I carefully looked thru it page by page -- and vowed not to start buying them.  I did wait a few years, but finally bought just one. And then another and another....  Then I discovered the Silhouette machine!  Don't even get me started on all that machine can do!!!  I LOVE it!  And love sharing with others what it can do.

I have been married 24 years to Bruce and we moved to Colorado 15 years ago -- leaving behind the humidity and snow of the Chicago area.  We have one daughter, Celeste, who is a senior in college and will be starting her student teachng in 3rd grade this year.  Don't get me started on her either! :)

Cathy Smith

Instructor Cathy SmithAn affection for specialty papers and stationery was the springboard for my stamping journey. When I saw the limitless possibilities for rubber stamping, 21 years ago, I jumped in! The possibilities are still limitless, and I still love the hobby.

My enjoyment of paper techniques, stamping, and creating hand crafted keepsakes led me on a natural progression into scrapbooking. I especially enjoy incorporating stamping and quilting techniques in my cardmaking and scrapbooking applications. Experimenting with new techniques and products, and being innovative with the basics keep these hobbies fun and stimulating for me. Teaching at Simple Pleasures is very gratifying to me; it is a treat to be able to share my passion with others!

Cyndi Bliss
Cyndi BlissI started scrapbooking in the 80’s when all that was available was some colored paper and a few stickers.  I discovered stamping in 1994 and determined that I would not go overboard with this hobby. Hundreds of stamps later, I still adore it all.  I have taught at Michaels and JoAnn Stores (kids, home decor, scrapbooking, cards, bow making).  In my ‘real job’, I taught nutrition and cooking to kids, adults and mentally challenged adults for many years.  My other hobbies are tatting, needlework, cooking, reading and my two poodles.  I am married to a wonderful man who just doesn’t understand why I keep bringing home more paper.

My Life in a nutshell:

I'm a mom to an 8 year old boy and a 6 year old girl. Therefore my life is usually filled with learning, new discovery, bribery and driving to and from all of our activities. I have a loving and very supportive husband of almost 10 years. When the kids have gone to bed at night, my time is spent crafting while catching up on my favorite shows and movies. I also enjoy reading, window shopping, knitting and perusing blogs for inspirations. Over a year go, we moved to Colorado from California and we are enjoying our new environment. I feel very inspired with my new home, my new scrapbook space and the mountain views. I also recently started my own photography business focusing on family and children portraits. My love for scrapbooking have spilled to a new found passion for photography in which I feel will just make my skill in papercrafting even better.

For the past 5 years, I've been actively working in the scrapbook industry as a freelance designer working for manufacturers and companies in their design team and I've also had multiple projects published in magazines like Scrapbook Etc., Creating Keepsakes, Scrapbook Trends, Cricut, CARDS and Scrapbook and Cards Today to name a few.

I am very excited in sharing my passion for photography and scrapbooking to all of you.

Linda Knight

Instructor Linda KnightI'm a confirmed and committed crafter, having enjoyed so many different avenues of crafting over the years - from sewing and cross stitch to beading and clay. But no craft has given me as much enjoyment as stamping, papercrafting and scrapbooking have. As a child, my heart sped up every time I walked into an art supply store - today as an adult, stamp and scrapbooking stores do that for me. I love new techniques, old techniques and new ways to use old products. I especially enjoy making cards, books, boxes, and dimensional items such as the Outlines Ornament.

Other than substitute teaching for a number of years, I'm a relative "newbie" and look forward to sharing with you a really fun "ooh aah" project that is only limited to your own imagination. Stamper's Sampler has published two of my cards that I sent in with my subscription renewal- one was a Christmas card and the other was a Halloween card. Mostly, I enjoy the look on my friends and family's faces as they open a card or gift that I've made and express their approval. It just makes my day.

Marianne Clementi

Instructor MarianneI got into scrapbooking when I met my "husband" and his family was into it.  I love taking pictures and making people stand in front of something that I can make a page out of.  I then progressed to the Silhouette and have become the Bling, Bling queen.  Everything alway looks better with Bling.    I enjoy the cutting machines and love to share my experience with others in need of help in this area.

I currently work as a probation officer but really enjoy my free/work time at Simple Pleasures.  It is totally my stress relief.   Other hobbies include spoiling my little princess Megan (my dog) and spending time with my family and friends.
