"Monochromatic Magic" - February Featured Card Showcase Our last Simple Pleasures’ Card Club Exchange was themed “Monochromatic Magic” and participants decided for themselves what theme they would design their cards around - using a monochromatic color scheme. Here is the Featured Card for February's Monochromatic Card Swap by Jo B -it is stunning! ![]() Although this card is a Sympathy Card, it could easily be adapted to be a wedding or anniversary card. Opalessence Matallic and Parchment papers from the Papr Company and The Paper Studio work well to create a classic elegance in this card. A Sahara Sand stamp pad was used to stamp the sentiments. How about this intricately detailed butterfly border running along the left side of the card? It was created with the Card Fronts Cartridge and the eclips cutting system. Our next theme of 2012 is “Memory Box". Perfect timing, with all the wonderful new Springtime Memory Box stamps and dies that we have gotten in - not to mention the wonderful exclusive Hummingbird and Columbine stamp and die sets that Memory Box made just for Simple Pleasures! We hope you'll join us in this swap and others coming up throughout the year! To participate in our swaps, make sure to have your 10 cards with 10 recipes (1 for each card, please!) in a Ziploc-type baggie with your name on it to Simple Pleasures before close of business (that’s 6pm) on Saturday, March 17th. Don’t forget…if you’re mailing, please be sure to send your cards in plenty of time. (No late submissions will be accepted. We thank you for your consideration!) Plan ahead or get a jump-start on other exchanges coming up … here are the next few upcoming themes and dates:
