We are well on our way through 2012! Did you survive the first month? I'm hoping that your new year has settled down and that you’ve found some time to craft, scrapbook, create something fun!
Did you pick up our 2012 Card Club schedule, yet?
January’s theme was Birthday Bonanza and it looks like our participants had a great time designing their cards!
Our Featured Card for January is Dawn C. – her card full of fun techniques such as dry embossing and die cutting – don’t you just love the dotted background?
And that’s not all…her main image is embossed in silver and wait till you see the icing on the cake…great dimension!
Have you wanted to participate in Simple Pleasures’ Card Club Exchange, but felt a little intimidated or not sure what to make for the theme? No worries!
February’s theme is more about the color element of your design than it is about the subject matter. Choose one main color and then variations of the color to use as part of your design elements. Make it whatever you want – birthday, get well, just because…etc.
Make sure to turn in your set of cards (10 cards of the same design with a card recipe for each card) no later than close of business February 18th – no late cards will be accepted.
** Lucky you! That’s our Anniversary weekend, and you were going to stop by for the great demos and sales anyway, right? **
For those of you looking ahead…March is going to be a fun month to participate! If you participate in our regular Card Club Exchange, following all the guidelines (don’t forget a card recipe for each card!), you will qualify to participate in March’s optional Card Challenge.
And why would you want to make one more card? To be entered into a drawing for a Simple Pleasures’ Gift Certificate, of course!
To Qualify to Participate in March’s Optional Card Challenge:
· 1. Participate in March’s regular Card Exchange, following all of the guidelines.
· 2. For each set of qualifying cards turned in, you may submit a card for the Challenge.
· Do your best work! The winning entry will be shown, right here, on the blog!
So, what’s is March’s optional Card Challenge?!
Design and create a card including the following 3 elements:
1. The use of a Memory Box die
2. At least one Patterned Paper
At Simple Pleasures we carry all of the Memory Box dies…and if for some reason, we are out of stock, we can Special Order what you need! That means we have a lot of Memory Box dies for you to choose from…and even the matching stamps that are available for some of the dies!
We love having choices!
Okay…to recap the important dates:
Thanks to all of you card artists that have been participating in our Card Club Exchange – we love your creative work! Keep inspiring!
